Stress Toys And Why They Are A Waste Of Your Time
By Chris Becker
Stress toys are very popular gimmicks. In this article, I’ll tell you why they have nothing to do with relieving stress and suggest some real alternatives.
You’ve probably seen them all over the office, these so-called stress toys or stress relieving toys. Usually, they are quite fun and everyone in the office may have a look. It could be a squishy ball or even some type of joke toy based on some kind of funny cartoon. But is there actually any scientific basic that these toys will help you with your stress?
Sorry to break the bad news but these things are just simple gimmicks. I guess the original idea was that these toys provide some kind of an outlet for your stress. So the theory goes - you get mad and you need to unleash your anger somewhere so you do it to the toy. Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous? Have you ever seriously met anyone who told you that their stress toy allowed them to managed their stress successfully and save their life? I certainly haven’t. These toys are nothing more than commercial gimmicks.
Either you get them for free from a company supplier who will have their logo emblazoned all over the side of the stress ball or whatever and gain some valuable exposure at your expense because you think for a few brief moments that this might actually help you. Or they’re just cheap stocking fillers that you buy from a gadget shop and give to your old man.
Let me repeat, these stress toys have no scientific basic and there are far better ways at reducing your stress. Actually, stress management is not about unleashing your anger on some hapless victim of a toy. It is about learning now to be goaded by your environment and reaching an inner peace with yourself.
Throw out the stress toys and get some real advice on how to manage your stress and stop it from killing you. Click here to discover the secrets to managing your stress, courtesy of http://www.stop-getting-stressed.com
