Part 2- A Few Simple Techniques to Help With Stress
By Gregory Akerman
I must mention that I am not a medical expert and this material should only be used for education, information, and entertainment purposes only. These techniques worked for me, but I strongly suggest consulting a licensed medical professional before attempting anything that I am writing.
I started this series to help people with stress issues. Please feel free to e-mail me for my opinions.
I will use a bulleted list format to list simple exercises that can help reduce your stress:
*Deep Breathing- In and Out, very slow, at least 10 times. This sends more oxygen to your brain while getting rid of carbon dioxide.
*Stretching- Stretching twice a day is a great way to reduce the chances of bodily injuries occurring. We all know those lead to a huge amount of stress.
*A Walk- This is more about thinking about things than exercise. When you feel stressed, take a walk and see how you feel after. You might have a different outlook.
*Mental Exercises- I like writing. When you write out what is stressing you out, you are more likely to find a logical solution to end the problem. For me, it’s easier to figure out a problem on paper than in my head. But that’s just me
*And lastly, sleep. Even though it’s not exactly an exercise, a proper sleep cycle is known to reduce stress levels.
